Systeme.io costs $0, $17, $47 or $97 a month, depending on the plan: Free, Startup, Webinar or Unlimited. What moves you from one plan to the next is mostly your contact count: up to 2,000 on Free, 5,000 on Startup, 10,000 on Webinar and no cap on Unlimited. Annual billing gives you two months free.
For most people starting out, the answer is short: begin on the Free plan, which never expires and asks for no credit card, and pay only when you hit one of its limits. The rest of this guide helps you work out which limit you will hit first.
How this guide was put together: prices and limits come from Systeme.io’s official pricing pages, in English and in French, read on . The English page shows prices in US dollars; the French page shows the same amounts in euros. This is a pricing guide, not a product test: nobody here used the software for this article. Prices can change, so confirm them before you commit.
Quick answer: which Systeme.io plan should you choose?
- Under 2,000 contacts and one product to sell: the Free plan.
- 2,000 to 5,000 contacts, or several funnels and courses: Startup, at $17 a month.
- 5,000 to 10,000 contacts, or you want evergreen webinars: Webinar, at $47 a month.
- Over 10,000 contacts, or you never want to watch a counter again: Unlimited, at $97 a month.
That is the rule Systeme.io itself gives in the FAQ of its pricing page. Its strength is that it is easy to apply. Its weakness is that it only looks at contacts, when other limits may stop you sooner.

The French pricing page lists the same amounts in euros: €17, €47 and €97 a month. Whatever the currency, the figure that counts is the one on the checkout screen, with any tax that applies to you.
A fifth option for teams is offered on request: everything in Unlimited plus a dedicated success manager. Its price is not published.
What each plan includes
What is the same on every plan
The pricing page stresses what all plans share, Free included: unlimited email sends, unlimited file storage, no transaction fees, an affiliate program for your own products, unlimited sub-accounts and email support. That shared base is Systeme.io’s main argument: you do not pay to unlock a feature, you pay to raise your limits.
Free: to test an idea
2,000 contacts, 3 sales funnels, 1 course, 1 blog, 1 custom domain and a single automation rule. That covers an opt-in page, a welcome sequence and a first product. It gets tight as soon as you want several offers or several automated sequences.
Startup: for a business that is running
At $17 a month the counters multiply: 5,000 contacts, 10 funnels, 10 automation rules, 5 courses, 3 domains. Students become unlimited. This is the plan for people who already sell and want to launch a second or third product.
Webinar: to sell with automated webinars
At $47 a month you get 10,000 contacts, 50 funnels, 100 automation rules, 20 courses and, above all, evergreen webinars, which the two lower plans do not have. If you do not run webinars, the only reason to pick it is your contact count.
Unlimited: to stop counting
At $97 a month almost every counter disappears, and the plan adds early access to new features. It is meant for businesses with more than 10,000 contacts, or agencies juggling many funnels and domains.
Monthly vs annual billing
The page offers two options: monthly billing, or annual billing with “2 months free”. The prices in this guide are the monthly ones; the exact annual amounts appear when you flip the toggle on the page and should be read there.
According to the official FAQ, you can upgrade or cancel at any time from your account settings. If you cancel, you keep your plan until the next billing date, then the account goes back to the Free plan.
In practice, stay on monthly billing until you are sure you will keep the tool for a year. Paid month by month, a year comes to $204 on Startup, $564 on Webinar and $1,164 on Unlimited.
How to pick a plan in three steps
1. Count your contacts, today and six months from now
This is the threshold Systeme.io puts first. Take your current list size and your monthly sign-ups. If you add 150 contacts a month from a base of 1,200, you will pass 2,000 in under six months.
2. Count your products and your automations
List what you sell and what you want automated. One automation rule and one email campaign are the real constraint of the Free plan for anyone with two products. Ten rules are enough for many small businesses; a hundred, for nearly all of them.
3. Decide whether you will run webinars
It is the only feature in the table reserved for the upper plans. If the answer is no, you are only choosing between volumes.

Real-world examples
| Situation | First limit reached | Plan that fits |
|---|---|---|
| Coach launching a first course, 300 contacts | None | Free |
| Course creator with 3 courses and 1,500 contacts | Courses (1 on Free) | Startup |
| Blogger with 6,000 newsletter subscribers | Contacts (5,000 on Startup) | Webinar |
| Consultant selling through automated webinars | Evergreen webinars | Webinar |
| Online store with 25,000 customers | Contacts (10,000 on Webinar) | Unlimited |
| Agency running 15 client domains | Custom domains (10 on Webinar) | Unlimited |
Two takeaways. The second case shows you may need a paid plan with a small list. The third shows you may end up on the Webinar plan without ever hosting a webinar, purely because of contacts: that is $30 a month more than Startup.
Watch-outs before you pay
- Plan names are a little misleading. “Webinar” is also, quite simply, the 10,000-contact tier. Read the counters, not the names.
- The last step is the most expensive. Going from Webinar to Unlimited costs $50 more a month. Clean your list first: removing inactive contacts may keep you under 10,000.
- One contradiction on the official page. A banner promises “unlimited students” on all plans, while the detailed grid shows 500 students on Free. We go with the grid.
- Not every row of the grid carries a number. Several features (some integrations, SMS, the kickstart coaching session) are shown with a symbol only. We did not report them plan by plan; check the ones that matter to you.
- SMS and some third-party services cost extra. The grid mentions SMS marketing without showing its price.
- Refund terms. We found no mention of a money-back guarantee on the pricing page. Ask before paying for a full year.
When Systeme.io is not the right fit
Systeme.io is built for selling online: funnels, email, courses, payments. It includes CRM pipelines, but that is not its core. If what you need first is sales tracking for a team or a ticket-based helpdesk, look at a CRM suite instead. We broke down the price list of one such tool in our guide to EngageBay pricing, which works on a different logic: a price per user and much lower contact caps.
If, on the other hand, you sell courses or digital products on your own, Systeme.io’s logic, one flat price per account however many people log in, works in your favour.
Systeme.io pricing FAQ
Is Systeme.io really free?
Yes. According to the official page, the Free plan never expires and needs no credit card. It is limited to 2,000 contacts, 3 sales funnels, 1 course and 1 automation rule.
How much does Systeme.io cost per month?
$17 for Startup, $47 for Webinar and $97 for Unlimited on monthly billing. The Free plan stays at $0.
Does Systeme.io take a cut of my sales?
No: the grid shows 0% transaction fees on every plan. Your payment processor’s own fees still apply.
Is there a limit on emails?
No, email sends are listed as unlimited on every plan. What is capped is the number of contacts and of campaigns.
Can I change plans or cancel?
Yes, at any time from your account settings. After a cancellation the paid plan stays active until the next billing date, then the account returns to the Free plan.
Do I pay per user?
No. Prices are per account, and the grid lists unlimited assistant accounts on every plan.
What is the difference between Webinar and Unlimited?
Webinar is capped at 10,000 contacts, 50 funnels and 10 evergreen webinars. Unlimited removes those caps and adds early access to new features, for $50 more a month.
Bottom line
Systeme.io’s price list is one of the easiest to read: four flat prices, no transaction fees, and counters that grow from one plan to the next. Start for free, watch three numbers, your contacts, your products and your automation rules, and upgrade only on the day one of them blocks you.
Before paying for a full year, check the annual amount shown, ask about refunds and confirm that the features you rely on are in the plan you picked.
